Products Dataset Example

The products dataset is a high-volume catalog source built to stress-test exploration and widget performance at scale. It includes up to one million rows with product identity, category metadata, pricing, stock, availability state, and descriptive attributes such as color and size. This makes it a strong benchmark for table rendering, large-cardinality filters, and fast aggregation workflows.

For documentation and screencasts, this dataset is useful because it demonstrates realistic ecommerce-style analytics: category coverage, stock risk detection, brand-level pricing patterns, and quick segmentation by availability or attributes. It is also effective for validating UX behavior on large datasets (scrolling, filtering, and query response clarity) in a way that smaller toy datasets cannot.
