Build, export, share

Build is where you ask and where the dashboard grows. When it looks right, export it or share it.

Ask

  1. Make sure the right file or database is Set.
  2. Open Build and type what you want: the metric, the time, how to group it.
  3. Read the result. If it is close, ask a follow-up. If it is off, simplify the question or name the column.
Try these requests

Revenue by month for 2025

Why did sales drop in March?

Show monthly revenue and a KPI for total sales

Two kinds of request: explain ("why did sales drop in March?") gets an answer in the chat; build ("show monthly revenue as a line chart with a KPI for total sales") adds widgets to the dashboard. Start with one chart and add the next after you like the first.

The dashboard

Widgets sit on the dashboard next to the chat: charts, KPIs, tables. Drag them into place. Group them into pages for different audiences: a page for the weekly meeting, a page for finance. Click a widget to change it or remove it.

Export

Export in the dashboard header:

WhatFormats
The dashboardPDF, XLSX (one sheet per widget)
A tableCSV, XLSX
A chartPNG, SVG

Exports are made on your computer. The files are yours to send however you like.

Share on the web publishes a read-only snapshot of the dashboard at a link. Viewers see the charts and the numbers as they were when you shared; they cannot edit or see your file. Share again after changes so the link matches. Depending on the plan, sharing may be limited; the app tells you.

Send by email

Send by email sends the dashboard to a list of addresses, with a note from you. Recipient groups let you keep a list for the weekly send. Email sends are counted per month: 30 on Trial, 500 on Pro, 1000 on Pro+. See Account and plans.

In the browser instead

The browser version does the same and more: reports, decks, documents, automations. See Dashboards and reports and Automations.
