Models

Leave the picker on Auto and Tabloy chooses a model for each message. Pick one yourself when you have a reason to.

Auto

Auto is the default and works on every plan. For each message it picks a model that fits the task: a fast one for a short question, a stronger one for a long document or a build. You do not see the choice and you do not need to.

Pick a model

The picker is above the message box. It lists models from OpenAI (GPT), Anthropic (Claude) and DeepSeek. The choice applies to the current chat until you change it.

Pick a model when:

• you compare answers from two models on the same question,
• a colleague told you a specific model works best for your kind of text,
• you want the strongest model for one hard problem and do not mind the limit.

Messages sent with a picked model count as advanced model requests: 30 a month on Trial, 300 on Pro, 600 on Pro+. Messages on Auto do not. See Account and plans.

Same chat, different model

Switching the model in the middle of a chat is fine. The new model sees the whole conversation.

Builds and research

Websites, decks, documents, dashboards and web research use their own models inside Tabloy. The picker affects the answer in the chat, not the build.
