Dashboards and reports
In a chat with data, ask for a dashboard or a report. It is built from every row, opens next to the chat, and can be shared or published.
Build a dashboard
Say who it is for and what it should answer. Tabloy picks the charts, the KPIs and the filters.
Build a dashboard for the weekly sales meeting
A finance dashboard: revenue, costs and margin by month, with a filter by region
A people dashboard from this HR file: headcount, hires and leavers by month, attrition by department
Or pick Build dashboard under the message box: sales, finance, marketing, operations, people & HR, or From my data, which reads your dataset and suggests six dashboards that fit it.
The dashboard opens in the panel with working filters and charts. It reads the data of the chat: for a dataset, every row; for a database, the result of the queries at the moment of the build.
Build a report
A report is a page that says what the numbers show, with the charts next to the text.
Write a monthly performance report from this data: what grew, what fell, and why it matters
A data quality audit: missing values, duplicates, outliers, per column
Compare this year with last year by product line
Ask for a PDF or a Word file instead when the report is going to be sent or printed. See Word, PDF and Excel.
Change it
"Add a chart of returns by reason", "make the filter default to this quarter", "drop the table at the bottom". A new version appears; the earlier one stays. See Change it by asking.
Share or publish
- Share from the panel gives a link to a snapshot. Viewers need no account.
- Publish puts a dashboard at a
tabloy.pageaddress like a website. Everything on it becomes public, including the data it shows. - Download as a zip to keep it or host it yourself; it works from the zip.
See Share and download and Publish.
Every week, without asking
Put the request in an automation. The dashboard or the report is rebuilt on schedule from the current data and delivered where you say. See Automations.
Local data
For files and databases that must not leave your computer, the Tabloy app builds dashboards locally, on your machine or network.
