Apps and code

Ask for an app and the assistant builds it, starts it and shows it next to the chat. It can also work on a project you already have.

Ask for an app

Press App under the message box, or just describe it:

  • "A CRM for a tea shop: clients, orders, and a page with the month's totals"
  • "A Telegram bot that answers questions about our opening hours"
  • "A small program that renames photos by the date they were taken"

The first time, Tabloy downloads what it builds apps with, about 100 MB. Later builds start right away.

While it works you see its plan as stages, which stage it is on and every step. When the app needs something your computer lacks, it is downloaded the first time.

The assistant picks the tools that fit the work. If you want a particular one, name it: "with Next.js", "in Django", "in Go".

Try it next to the chat

The app runs next to the chat. Click through it at desktop, tablet and phone width.

From there you can restart or stop it, open it in your browser, and see its files and its messages. The Code tab shows the project's files: open them, edit them and save. Select lines and add them to your message to ask about them.

If the app stops working, press Fix it. The assistant finds out why and fixes it.

Under the answer there are buttons for what was built: open the app, run its installer, play a video, open the project folder, or open it in VS Code, Cursor or Zed if you have one.

Work on your own project

  1. Press Work in a folder and choose the folder of your project.
  2. Ask for a feature, a fix or an explanation: "add a dark theme", "the login page crashes, find out why", "explain how payments work here".

The assistant reads the code, changes what the work needs, runs the tests and the app, and checks the app in a browser. Changes to your files wait for Apply changes. Commands ask once per chat. See Files on your computer.

Apps

Apps in the side panel lists every app the assistant built, from all chats. Start and stop them there, open their folder or their code, or go back to the chat where they were made.

Videos and screenshots

Ask for a product video, a screencast or screenshots of your app or site. The assistant opens it in a browser, asks you to sign in when it needs to, and records each scene with a visible cursor. It edits the clips into an MP4 with titles and captions, and can add a voice-over.
