Without the internet

The app can work with no internet at all. It then answers with a model that runs on your computer.

Get ready while you are online

1. Press Switch to offline mode at the bottom of the side panel.
2. The window Work without the internet opens. It installs what working offline needs: a model, document reading and voice input.
3. Wait until it says it is ready.

The model is the largest part, a few gigabytes. Do it while you have a good connection.

Models on your computer

Press your account at the bottom of the side panel, choose Settings and open Local models. Download a model there, then pick it in the chat, at the bottom of the message box.

A model on your computer is slower than a Tabloy model, and smaller ones are less capable. It uses the graphics card when there is one. The first answer takes longer while the model loads.

When the connection drops

If Tabloy cannot be reached and a model is on your computer, Auto answers with that model. When the connection comes back, Auto goes back to Tabloy models. You don't have to switch anything.

What works offline

• Chat with a model on your computer.
• Your files, databases on your network, and dashboards.
• Documents you attach, and voice input, once installed.

These need the internet:

• Tabloy models, and signing in.
• Web research and reading web pages.
• Publishing to tabloy.page.
• The first build of an app, which downloads its tools.
