Privacy ​

Here is what stays on your computer and what goes to an AI model. The Privacy page in the app lets you limit it.

What stays on your computer ​

  • Your files, folders and databases. The app reads them where they are, and queries run on your computer.
  • Your chats and what the assistant makes for you, until you publish something.
  • When you use a model on your computer, nothing goes to an AI model in the cloud. It works with no internet at all. See Without the internet.

What goes to an AI model ​

When you use a Tabloy model, the assistant sends the model what the task needs, and the answer comes back. That is your message, and the parts of your files, data and web pages it is working with. For a question about a table, for example, that is the column names, some rows and the results of its queries.

You choose what to attach and which folder a chat may work in.

The Privacy page ​

Open Privacy in the side panel.

Folder access. Choose where chats may work:

  • Every folder: a chat works in any folder you point it at.
  • Only the folders I choose: a chat works only in the folders you list, and the folders inside them.

Words that stay on this computer. Add the names of projects, clients or people that must never reach an AI model in the cloud. A request that holds one of these words is not sent, and the app tells you why. A model on your computer still works with it. No words are listed at first.

Protections. These are on for everyone at first:

  • Ask before deleting: removing a file or a folder of yours waits for your yes in its own window.
  • Ask before changing a database: every change of a connected database shows its statement and rows, and waits for your yes.
  • Hide keys and passwords: keys of services, tokens and private keys are replaced with a mark before anything goes to a model in the cloud.

What happened. A list of what the protections did. It is kept on this computer only.

Always on ​

  • Commands ask first. A command runs after your yes, until you allow commands for a chat or a folder.
  • Changes can be undone. Before the assistant changes a file, Tabloy keeps a copy.
  • The assistant does not make malware or help break into systems or accounts.

Report an answer ​

If an answer is wrong or harmful, press the flag under it. The report goes to Tabloy.
